I believe that we are intellectual, physical, and spiritual beings, and
that the health, growth, and development of an individual is dependent
upon an integration of all aspects of his or her being. I believe
inherent truth is self evident in the Trinity: God the intellectual
aspect, Jesus, the physical aspect, and the Holy Spirit, the spiritual
aspect of the Divine; but that many of today's churches have traveled
far afield from the essential meaning of Christ's intentions. I know
that as human beings, we can never fully understand the nature of God,
and I therefore believe that to consider any text or teaching to be
without errors or omissions the ultimate arrogance, and perhaps more
importantly, doing so puts limits on one's concept of the Divine.
Prayer (talking to the Divine) and meditation (listening to the Divine)
helps us to reach beyond our finite physical boundaries and expand our
infinite spiritual and intellectual ones. All humanity is related
across time and space and bloodlines, and to divide people into an "us"
and "them" is to deny the essential nature of who we are. I
understand that people learn in different ways, come from different
cultures, face different trials. Because of that, and because of the
combination of various successes and failures of the world's churches
and belief systems, people have developed a variety of religions, both
organized and unique to individuals, to help them understand their
places in the universe.
Services provided: weddings, funerals, renewal ceremonies
Specializing in: Weddings for people who are not active members of
churches, but who nonetheless want something more meaningful than a
civil ceremony; interfaith weddings.
Fees: $95.00 to $300.00 in most cases, although we are considering a
small increase.
