I Believe...
Judaism is a deeply generous, inclusive and flexible spiritual resource. I can’t imagine a more privileged place to stand as a rabbi than at Judaism’s threshold, holding the door open for Jews and their loved ones to walk through and find a way to bring the sacred to their lives.
Services provided:
1) All life cycle events for Jewish and Jewish-interfaith, religious and secular, straight and gay individuals, couples and families, including:
baby namings, bar/bat mitzvah and coming of age, Jewish weddings and commitment ceremonies, funerals, and counseling as appropriate
2) spiritual counseling
3) adult and children’s education
4) referral to Jewish and interfaith resources
Specializing in:
- creating personalized life cycle ceremonies drawn on but not limited to Jewish spiritual traditions
- thinking “outside the Ark” about ways that Jewish spirituality can resource and enrich people’s lives
Fees: To be determined on a case by case basis (Please note: as an ordained Rabbi by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Rabbi Field must consider what other Rabbis in the area are charging, based on similar services provided by members of the Rocky Mountain Rabbinical Council. In the Denver area, weddings officiated by ordained Rabbis often begin at $500-$700 or more. Please keep in mind ordained Rabbis may charge more for their services than interfaith chaplains do, based on their extensive expertise in Judaism, and their ability to provide you with a connection to the Jewish community long after your wedding. Please contact Rabbi Field to discuss your specific needs.)

Brief excerpts from testimonials:
"Your wisdom, openness of heart and willingness to help tailor the ceremony around our personal identities were primary factors in channeling the special energy that helped make it such a moving experience not just for us, but also for all our guests. We enjoyed learning from you, both as a searching Jew and one who is still learning what Judaism is and can mean."
-- Matt & Heather
"We have heard countless compliments about you and the ceremony, how you blended the east and west and how joyous the whole ceremony was. You listened to us and helped us create a very special day."
-- Doug & Chiao-Ping
" All of your personal touches were so deeply moving and resonant. We cannot tell you the number of family and friends who commented on your warmth and professionalism."
-- Susan & Stephen
"Most of our guests had never been to a Jewish wedding and the feedback was awesome. Everyone felt they understood what was going on and felt as if they had a special place in our night."
-- Marla & David
"Your sensitivity to our need for a wedding that was both thoroughly grounded in Jewish tradition, yet compatible with my Buddhist beliefs, was remarkable and in many ways has provided us with a model for a multi-faith family that still works today. Thank you again for all of the time you spent working with us, your careful listening, your joyful enthusiasm, your deep understanding and your caring commitment to crafting with us a wedding that we loved."
-- Chris & Maggie
