Here ye, here ye! Attention all good ladies & gentleman!
Please remember to put modern conveniences to silent as to hush them
before their majesties are presented. Many thanks!

Once upon a time, in a land quite far, a fair maiden lived high upon her
castle. In slumber she waited for her prince to come, to carry her off into the
sunset. Many days of despair later, her prince arrived gallantly on his white steed.
"Fair maiden, come forth and be presented to your Prince."
(Bride starts to walk down the aisle)

"Prince _______, do you wish to take this fair maiden, that you hold above all
others as not only your love, but as your true wife, this day and every day after?"
(Prince answers, I do.)

"Fair, sweet maiden, do you wish to take this fine handsome Prince, that you
hold above all other as not only your love, but as your true husband, this day and every day after?"
(Maiden answers, I do.)

"Great Prince, what token do you offer your Fair Bride?" (Rings are handed to the "Scribe{Officiant}")

Scribe: "These rich rings, which are a token of eternal devotion, represent no
end, and no beginning.  Love is as endless. You pledge yourselves
today, in this company declaring to all in this vast kingdom that you wish to rule
together side by side.
Prince______, please place this token on the third finger of her left hand and
declare your proclamation:
I, Prince_______, take you, Lady________, to be my one true love. To
walk beside you, to share in your joys, to comfort you in your sorrows
and to bear all things as both your knight in armor and your only love. With
this ring, I thee wed."

Lady______, please place this token on the third finger of his left
hand and declare your proclamation:
I, Lady_____, take you, Prince_____, to be my one true love. To walk beside
you, to share in your joys, to comfort you in your sorrows and to bear all
things as both your Lady and your only love. With this ring, I thee wed."
(Couple kneels in front of the "Scribe", Scribe touches one shoulder of each
person with his/her hand) (Crowns can be placed upon the heads of the couple)
"It is with great joy and great honor, that these two have declared such true
love and intentions this day. May God above bless you both and may your home
always be filled with love, laughter & joy! I now proclaim that you are,
King_____ & Queen_____.
Arise your Majesties! For it is with much proclamation that we jubilantly
declare you are husband and wife this day!"

Cowboy Vows
From Rev. Marie April Gismondi, NY, NY

"You have planted this old tumblin tumble weed of a heart, and
through your tender love and care it has grown into something
beautiful for all to see."

"The beauty of wide open spaces
pale in comparison to a life time by your side.
I promise that seldom will be heard a discouraging word
and that it will always be followed with words of comfort.
That I will forever circle the wagons and come to your defense
in agreement and discord.
I promise to ride with you and not away from you for as long as
there is dust on my boots, breath in my lungs
and the reigns in my hands"

"___ cowboy___ take you ___little lady_____
To be my wife.
From the day you first wrangled my heart I have been yours
I will proudly wear your brand upon my heart
and your ring upon my finger
From this day forth till I ride the earthly range no more."

Pirate Nuptials
From Rev. Marie April Gismondi, NY, NY

Ahoy, Land lovers! Or shall I say Land of Lovers? For who here today
cannot feel the emotion of this event touching their heart? Guided by
the stars, Bride and Groom have set their sights on the horizon and
are about to begin their most glorious adventure yet! Today we will
hear their promises to mark a course and share the wheel. The wind
that fills their sails today is not hap hazard. It is a gift. The
same way that fire is kindled by wind, keeping the fire and passion
they feel for one another burning bright will propel them through the
seas of life. They know indeed there will be battles to fight, and
there may even be times when a mutiny seems inevitable, particularly
when the little crew come aboard, so shiver your timbers if you must,
but through bad grog and good fortune remember it is all yours
together to protect and cherish. So sail from land to land, day to
day, experience to experience with your love and your promises as the
sea you call your home shining as bright as a gold dubloon in your
hearts always!

I B/G take you b/g to be my h/w
My mate for life
As we sail the seas of life
I promise to grow with you in wisdom and love
I shall chart no course that shall put the ship in jeopardy
And be true to you in word and deed
For as long as the sea meets the horizon.

The theft of a heart is a serious matter, therefore yours are each
placed in one another's hands for safe keeping. May the promises you
make this day lead to a treasure chest that overflows with riches
beyond measure of the material world. May your love provide you
always a safe harbor through storms, May the sun never set on an
unkind word between you and the dawn forever rise on many bright
tomorrows.

I now pronounce you are each both Captain and First Mate, husband and
wife. You may steal your first kiss!

Fair winds, all.
- First Mate Doku here.
(note: Spanishanne and Grundie were a real couple that I helped
marry... They have allowed me permission to reproduce their ceremony)

Ahoy Friends and mates! Thank ye all for coming to witness and
celebrate the joining of Grundie and Spanishanne

Good to see all of ye on this side of Hell!

I know it means a lot to them to have everyone who is here to witness
this special occasion, as well as being a honour for me to be marrying
me these two best mates, as a public display of honor.

I be mightily honored to be here for these two. We've been plannin'
this for what seems like half me piratey life. I be looking forward to
closure. About time, ye two!

I've done me share o' ceremonies, and I've come to understand what
qualities make fer the perfect bride and groom.

I've known Grundie ever since he were part of The Corsairs of Umbar, way
back when they were part of another group. Calculating, clever and
highly educated, are words I would use to describe my friend.
Underneath the complex person is a mate with a heart of gold. His
devotion to Spanishanne can only be imagined, as I have observed his
adoration for her.

Anne was in our crew and sailed under our flag which also seems ages,
but she was the spark our crew needed which is one of the many keys to
our success, today. She is witty and keen, and always was there for me,
when I needed advice on most anything. Her ensembles are also some of
the most beautiful outfits on the planet the eye is to behold, which is
an obvious reflection of her own inner beauty.

I'm sure all the fine mates here are wondering how Grundie managed to
plunder the heart and soul of Spanishanne?

They both mean the world to one another, and today is to show their
friends how they feel for one another with weddin' vows from the heart.

For a bride, we look first to her teeth, well the absence o' them. A
good piratey wench has the most beautiful gummy smile.
Then thar be her cast ye which she kin us to watch her man while lookin'
out fer her friends she keeps while he be at sea.
And, o' course, the perfect piratey bride has that strong fishy ordor o'
the sea. Jest what her man be used to!

Grundie has assured me that Spanishanne do indeed be such a perfect
bride, and I must admit that I kin now see and smell fer meself.
As to the perfect piratey husband...
Well, he obviously must be strong in body to bring home the loot and
deal with house guests when he returns to port.
As strong as he be in body, he needs to be weak in mind so that he takes
orders well and don't catch on to the subtle doin's o' the household.
He needs to appreciate the abuses o' one woman enough that he would
ne'er thank o' tryin' to have additional.
I kin vouch that Grundie be sufficiently beat down and humbled by women
so that he be ready for this noble bondage.

Spanishanne and Grundie, the vows ye both are about to take are not to
be taken without careful thought and are to be a sacred way of showing
the Seven Seas how much ye loves one another.

For in them you are committing yourselves exclusively the one to the
other for as long as you both shall live our yer piratey days.

This love is not to be diminished by difficult circumstances, and it is
only to be dissolved by death or excecution.

Grundie, does ye have a vow of love for Spanishanne?

Grundie, do ye take Spanishanne, to cherish, to Honour, to defend and to
have for all of ye piratey days?

Grundie, do ye have a token of ye Love to offer Spanishanne?

Spanishanne, do you have a vow of love for Grundie?

Spanishanne, do ye take Grundie, to cherish, to Honour, to defend, and
to have for all of ye piratey days?

Spanishanne, ye may give Grundie a token of love.

Does anyone else in attendance wish to have anything to add, or to be
presented, for this fine couple on their happy day?

Upon highest Authority vested in me as an old mate and one of ye dearest
friends I now pronouce Grundie and Spanishanne wed, under a black flag
and the high seas to bear witness, with all mates in attendance.

By the power granted to me as a bloodthirsty tyrant and age old drunk o'
these seas, I pronounce ye piratey husband and wife! Grundie , ye may
now fight for yer freedom Draw blades, mates!

Ladies, wenches, pirates and mates, I give ye Husband and Wife, Grundie
and Spanishanne!

(and, an alternate which they wished to have as a back up... I'm not
sure which I used... being it was quite a while ago)

Alright, ye two. If either o' ye be jumpin' ship, this be the time to do.
Grundie , do ye promise to take Spanishanne as yer captain and
commander... To overlook her indiscretions while ye be at sea... To
let her use up yer very soul as she sees fit?
Spanishanne, do ye promise to take Grundie as yer favorite lover... To
make him feel like the only one when he be in port... To ne'er give him
the freedom to thank better of whut he does this day?

May you be each other's navigator in the course of life's voyages, and
each other's anchor in the rough seas that may lie ahead, so that
through this journey your love may have the strength of the powerful sun
which can break away any dark cloud that may come your way.
And as each other's mate for life, may you be at the helm of your own
and each other's destiny.

We ask our Creator now for your safety and to bless you as you complete
your voyage on the seas and in the course of your marriage.

Reading: (This was adapted from a Victor Hugo piece originally on
death. Now it goes into the death and rebirth aspect of marriage)

"I am standing upon that foreshore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength
and I stand and watch her until at length
she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea
and the sky come down to mingle with each other.
But there are other eyes watching her coming
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout.
'Here she comes'
That is the dying of two on singular paths and their rebirth as one
into a common future."

Good luck, ye two. Many long pirateys years to ye together! Drinks all
around!

Processional Music:  Love Me Tender

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to witness before family and friends the exchange of solemn vows between (first and last name) and (first name) (last name).

If there are any "suspicious minds" present in the audience, "doncha think it's time" to speak "now or never" because "their love won't wait"?

(First name) (last name), repeat after me:

It took a "hard headed woman" to make a "fool such as I", the "king of the whole wide world".  Now "I'm all shook up" over "the wonder of you."  I thought you were the "devil in disguise" but you turned out to be my "puppet on a string."  I used to "live in the hotel down the end of lonely street" when I thought only "fools fall in love."  Now it's "viva las vegas" 'cause "I need your love tonight".  "I love you so", whether we have "fame and fortune" or live, "in the ghetto".  "You are my good luck charm."

(First and last name), repeat after me:

"It only took one night" to get "stuck on you".  Now "my wish came true", you big "hunka hunka burnin' love!"  "You're always on my mind."  I thought you were "nothin' but a hound dog, cryin' all the time", but now I know "you're my teddy bear" 'cause "tigers play too rough, and lions ain't the kind you love enough."  So "kiss me quick" and "love me tender" "for I can't help falling in love with you".

Music solo: "I can't help falling in love with you".

Please take this moment to "surrender" the tokens of your affection.

On behalf of all who are gathered here, we hope the "thrill of your love" brings you a "pocketfull of rainbows".  By the powers vested in me I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, but remember, there is no "return to sender."  Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming Mr. And Mrs. (last name).

Recessional Music:  Viva Las Vegas!

Mutants and Aliens alike, we are gathered here today to witness the probing bond of ______ & ______ in the most powerful way possible; the bonding of marriage as a peace treaty. If you can find peace between the two of you, then this alliance is most powerful! This marriage is a contract between these two people and their humble planets at an attempt to keep world peace, and to be beneficial for the sake of all species.

Do you Kryptoid _______ take Nebulon _______ to be your lawfully wedded planetary species until your planets colide and explode?

Do you Nebulon_______ take Kryptoid _______ to be your lawfully wedded planetary species until your planets colide and explode?

What value and token do you give to show this planet you wish to make peace, not war?

This token as you can see, is a symbol of peace between mankind and our species. For better or worse, Roswell will be the neutral ground in which all contracts and alliances are made.

Kryptoid______, please take this token and place it on the third finger of Nebulon_______ and repeat after me:
I, Kryptoid ______, take you Nebulon ______, to be aligned with me in times of war and in times of peace, with or without the human race, through world domination for the rest of our species existance. With this token, I accept your alliance.

Nebulon______, please take this token and place it on the third finger of Kryptoid_______ and repeat after me:
I, Nebulon ______, take you Kryptoid ______, to be aligned with me in times of war and in times of peace, with or without the human race, through world domination for the rest of our species' existance. With this token, I accept your alliance.

By the power of all things weird and bizarre, I now declare this alliance satisfactory. You may nuzzle your heads in agreement and kiss the kiss of peace.

It is now my honor to introduce Kryptoid_____ & Nebulon______. Nanu Nanu!

each day of the year...

New Year's Eve or Day Wedding
Shared by Rev. Ann Fuller
www.brevardminister.com/ceremonies.html

OPENING WORDS
The occasion of the New Year is more than merely one of celebration, but of reflection and renewal. Many influences and events brought us to our present moment and a variety of aspirations and relationships will serve as guides in the coming year._____________ and _______________ chose today to bring us together to celebrate the love and respect that brought them to this union. Our blessings, hopes and loving regard for _______________ and _____________ affirm and celebrate their commitment.

When we love, we do not love all the time precisely the same way each and every moment to moment. However this is what most of us have come to expect. We often have too little faith in the ebb and flow of life, of love, and of relationships. We leap at the flow of the tide and resist its ebb. We needlessly fear it will never return. We insist on permanency, on duration, on continuity, when life gives us the gifts of transition and growth.

The new year will not, and should not, be a repeat of the last. It will build upon the previous year's flowering and become the root for the year to follow. Embrace the changes that will come in your marriage, they are the means to growth and strength.

READING I

A new year is beginning to peak through
softly beautiful and different like new falling snow,
each day unique and shaped just for you.
Your life adds something, as each day does grow.
My wish for your new year is beauty
and softness with surprises thrown in for delight.
Love for each day bringing happiness to you,
making your life a scene of sparkle and shining sunlight.

- Author Unknown

VOWS

Love between a husband and wife means caring as much about the
welfare and happiness of the other as yourself. Burdens will be
lighter because you divide them and joys more intense because you
share them. No other vows are more solemn than these you are about
to declare to one another. Please join hands as you repeat after me.

________________, you are my one true love,
my best friend, my soul mate....
You complete my spirit and compliment my soul...
Before our family, our friends and the heavens
I pledge my love to you...
I promise to share the rest of my life with you....
I will stand by your side…
in times of loss as well as times of gain.
I will trust, respect and celebrate you.
I will laugh, play and enjoy simple pleasures with you.
I will be there and comfort you always.
I pledge my fidelity as long as we both shall live.

EXCHANGE OF RINGS

Although we mark the passage of years with a beginning and an end,
in truth our time together is not a line, but a circle. As the
circle can begin anew at any point, so we too can choose any date on
which to reevaluate and renew our relationship to life. The ring has
long been a symbol of the sincerity and permanence of a couple's
love for one another and regard for their marriage. As the circle
can begin anew at any point, so a good marriage can pick any point
to renew itself. These rings are symbols of your eternal love.

Please repeat after me.

____________________, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love
and faithfulness.

As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you.

I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken
today

And know that every moment in time is the beginning of a new year
for us.

SAND / HOUR GLASS CEREMONY

________ AND ____, you have just sealed your relationship by the
giving and receiving of rings. Today this relationship is further
symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of
sand.

One, representing you, ________ and all that you were, all that you
are and all that you will ever be. The other, representing you,
__________ and all that you were, all that you are and all that you
will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the
hourglass, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist,
but will be joined together as one.

An hourglass marks the passage of time, but like our spirit and our
relationships, can always be renewed. The important thing is to
remain mindful of the contents and strive to replenish one another
each time we run low.

READING II

New years are a chance for a beginning
Even when there hasn't been an end.
Wheels turn in an interminable bend,
Yet, marked in one spot, seem to wobble spinning.
Each year we hope to do a little better
Although we know that really nothing's changed.
Reason thinks that everything's arranged,
So we must dream if we would fate unfetter.

- Nicholas Gordon

BLESSING & BELL RINGING

At the sound of midnight chimes, a new year begins
And our spirits raise in renewal and expectation.
At the peal of joyful wedding bells
We lift up our hopes to the promise this special music ushers in.
May your misfortunes be few and your pleasures many,
your hopes and dreams fulfilled.
May your special union stand in the face of loss
and give you strength and courage to rebuild.
May the peace and love in your hearts fill all your days
May each moment bless your lives together
and keep your souls interdependent, united and whole.

(Lead the guests in ringing their small keepsake bells)

DECLARATION OF MARRIAGE

____________ and ___________, you have made special promises to each
other symbolized by the joining of hands, taking of vows and the
giving and receiving of rings. Your friends and family have blessed
this union and rung in your life together as it begins with the new
year. By the authority vested in me as _____________ I pronounce you
husband and wife.
